Research is the lifeblood of industry - no more so than in energy and power. The Energy and Power Technology Centre, founded in 2005, is a dedicated, not-for-profit research trust with cutting edge facilities in Beighton, Sheffield. We are committed to providing industry with expert research into power, fuel and energy efficiency.
It is not always cost effective for industry to sustain research facilities, which is where Eptec fills the void. Working with Smiths Aerospace, BOC, Rolls Royce, E.ON, RWE npower, British Gas and Alstrom among others, Eptec maintains a dedicated test facility and team of research professionals.
Eptec is the result of a collaboration between Sheffield and Leeds Universities. The Centre combines academic excellence with industrial experience, and blue-chip partnerships.
Eptec is an independent research centre, boasting equipment and facilities that can offer outstanding results at a fraction of the cost of in-house industrial R&D.
